YubNub: A command line for the web
This is making its way all over the blogosphere lately. YubNub is
a new site that offers what they call a “command line for the web”. There are all
sorts of cool things that you can do with the service and they all work like a Unix
command line.
Here are some examples that I stole from their front page:
|
gim porsche 911 |
Do a Google Image search for Porsche 911’s. |
ls |
List all available commands. |
|
random 100 |
Pick a random number between 1 and 100. |
create |
Create a new command |
|
man random |
Display help for the “random” command. |
tts hello there |
Speak “hello there” |
And you can add your own commands that will be instantly available for all users of
YubNub. For example, I added a command, “redune”
that does a search on redune.com, just type “redune
yubnub” and you’ll find this post.
I think this shows a lot of potential, defintely a site to watch.
